FAQs
We've compiled a comprehensive list of frequently asked questions to guide you through the ins and outs of our personal training services.
What does personal training involve?
I prioritize getting to know all potential clients and their fitness goals. Personal training is well, personal, and I want to make sure you feel confident I'm a good fit for you. We start with a consultation to discuss goals, expectations, training experience, past successes and failures, medical and injury history, and more. From there, we create a personalized workout and nutrition plan to help them reach their goals.
How can personal training benefit me?
Personal training offers a range of benefits, including personalized workout plans tailored to your specific goals and needs, one-on-one attention and guidance from an experienced trainer, and accountability to help you stay on track and motivated. Additionally, personal training can help you achieve faster and more efficient results, as well as reduce the risk of injury during exercise.
What types of fitness goals do you cater to?
I believe that fitness is not just about looking good, but also feeling good. So if you're all about building strength, muscle, and shedding some body fat to boost your overall health and improve your quality of life, you're probably a good fit.
Is virtual personal training as effective as in-person sessions?
Virtual training sessions and in-person workout sessions have their own unique advantages and disadvantages. In-person sessions allow for more personalized attention and immediate feedback, while virtual sessions offer convenience and flexibility. Virtual sessions also allow for immediate feedback but can be more limited. A big advantage with virtual sessions is that it eliminates the need for travel and can be done anywhere.
Do you offer nutritional guidance as part of personal training?
Proper nutrition is required to fuel our activity and also to achieve body composition goals whether to lose, maintain, or gain weight. So I offer nutrition guidelines and work with you to find strategies to achieve those goals. I do not prescribe meal plans or specific nutrition advice to cure or treat illnesses and disordered eating. If you have disordered eating behaviors I would strongly suggest seeking a specialist in that field.
What is online coaching?
Online coaching is a budget friendly option that involves delivering individualized fitness programs through a designated online platform in our case an app. Clients, in turn, carry out their fitness training independently, follow their nutrition guidelines and provide feedback. Results are then discussed through instant messaging. It also includes weekly check-ins and monthly video/phone calls to discuss progress. It's a perfect way to get the structure, accountability, and guidance you need to hit your fitness goals at your own convenience.
